Mountain Guide Trek has been organizing a Bhutan tour 4 nights / 5 days program an adventurous journey that covers most of the best parts of Bhutan and it will be your good memorable trip covering the two major cities of Bhutan-Paro and Thimpu. Paro has the only airport in Bhutan and has a few famous Dzongs. You will have the opportunity to visit some farm houses and interact with the locals and experience rural life.

Bhutan is a country nestled in the eastern Himalayas. The country has been visited by a great many saints, mystics, scholars, and pilgrims over the centuries who not only came for their elucidation but blessed the land and its people with an invaluable spiritual and cultural legacy that has shaped every facet of Bhutanese lives. Visitors and guests to the country will be surprised that the culture and the traditional lifestyle are still richly intact and at the degree to which it permeates all strands of modern day secular life. From the traditional woven garments to the prayer flags on high mountain slopes, from the built environment to the natural environment, from the religious mask dances to the folk dances, this cultural heritage is proudly evident and offers a unique cultural setting.

Day 01: Kathmandu to Paro

Day 02: Paro to Thimpu

Day 03: Thimpu to Wangdi

Day 04: Wangdi to Punakha to Thimphu to Paro

Day 05: Transfer to airport for departure

Bhutan Tour 4 Nights / 5 Days - Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Paro.
Arrive at Paro airport, Get Bhutan visa on passport upon showing visa approval letter plus 2 pp size picture, Meet/greet our guide and drive to Hotel. (Overnight at 4-star hotel on full board basis)

Day 02: Paro to Thimpu.
Paro Sightseeing - visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong which still attracts visitors due to its strategic location of the fort. The fort defended the Paro valley from the Tibetan invasion from the north in the early 17th century. On clear weather Mount Chomolhari 7320 meters can be seen towering over the Dzong. Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta-Dzong.  It was housed in the National Museum in the 1960s by the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. The seven floors museum highlights various aspects of Bhutanese culture and history dating back to the 7th century. Late afternoon drive 2 hours to Thimphu (65 Kms) which is the capital of Bhutan. (Overnight at 4-star hotel on full board basis)

Day 03: Thimphu to Wangdi.
In the morning Thimphu sightseeing - visit the Memorial Chorten built in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the 15-century Changangkha monastery, and the new Drupthob nunnery temple. PM drive 3 hours to Wangduephodrang crossing the Dochula passes 3100 meters. In fine weather, you will see the eastern Himalayan ranges including the highest mountain in Bhutan Mt.Gangar Punsum 7520 meters. The drive from the pass is all the way downhill dropping to the lower and warmer valleys of Lobesa. Visit the Dzong from the outside and the market area. (Overnight at 4-star hotel on full board basis)

Day 04: Wangdi to Punakha to Thimphu to Paro
AM: drive 45 minutes to Punakha and visit the Punakha Dzong which served as the old capital of Bhutan. This remarkable fortress is built between two rivers and has survived many glacial floods and fire. Every year during February a procession known as the Punakha Serda takes place to commemorate the victory over the Tibetans.

PM: Drive 3 hours to Thimphu for lunch and proceed 2 hours to Paro via visiting the oldest building in Bhutan, the Simtokha Dzong. It now serves as a Buddhist university. (Overnight at 4-star hotel on full board basis)

Day 05: Transfer to airport for departure.
On the final day, you will have a departure from Paro to your destination area (You could go back to Nepal or any other country). The hotel staff will drop you at the Paro airport by Private Car / Van / Hiace.

Equipment

Temperatures in Bhutan vary according to weather, altitude, & time of the day. Carry all types of clothes. Except if you're traveling to Bhutan during the summers, it's advisable to carry warm clothes. Some of the items that you may consider carrying include clothes as per season, sunglasses / spare glasses, pair of casual shoes, hat, umbrella, camera, films and accessories, insect repellent, hand cream, torch or flashlight with spare batteries, mirror, scissor, sun cream, lip salve or soluble aspirin, antiseptic cream, anti-diarrhea pills, etc.
