Ganga Jamuna trekking is located of Dhading district it is in north west part of Nepal, where you can enjoy your holiday in Nepal. Only possible for camping because there is no tea house facility available, you can enjoy with spectacular views of Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, Manaslu range, Lamjung Himal, Himalchuli, Annapurna range and many other unnamed mountain, peaks and also enriched with attractive flora and fauna.

This trail offers you a visit to Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site as well. The famous Tripura Sundari Temple lies at Salyankot where there is held a big fair from time to time. Hindu devotees offer special prayer and animal sacrifice to the deity. Except these Buddhist monasteries and Chortens preserve distinct culture and tradition in itself. Another attraction of this trek is that you visit Ganga Jamuna which is a twin waterfall. There is a Kukur Dhara (Dog Spring) and it is believed that taking a dip into this will rid you from rabies. Ganga Jamuna is Hindu pilgrimage site where a famous fair is held around the temple before three days of full moon day during the first week of November. Here is a holy stone which is highly revered by the Hindu devotees and local people.

Ganga Jamuna Trekking 08 Days - Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1300m)

Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Jyamrung Danda (1100m)

Day 03: Trek Jyamrung Danda to Karki Gaon (1225 m) 4-5 hrs

Day 04: Trek Karki Gaon to Ganga Jamuna (3244m) 3-4 hrs

Day 05: Rest day at Ganga Jamuna (3244m)

Day 06: Ganga Jamuna to Budathum, 3-4 hrs

Day 07: Trek Budathum to Arughat Bazaar (500m) and drive to Kathamndu, 7 hrs

Day 08: Farewell Friend (Final departure to your onward destination)

Ganga Jamuna Trekking / 08 Days - Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1300m)
Namaste & welcome to Mountain Guide Trek of Nepal. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by a representative from Mountain guide Treks (MGT). After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with a Mountain Guide Treks and Expedition with Group leader's name display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, if time allows, you will visit MGT office to meet your trekking leader as well as other participants and for final preparation for the trip. It all depends upon your arrival time. (Overnight at deluxe hotel on BB basis)

Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Jyamrung Danda (1100m) 
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Dhading Besi around three and half hours and will have lunch at Dhading Besi after that trek to Jyamrung Danda around 3-4 hours, while trekking uphill you pass through villages, hills and terraces. Jyamrung Danda is an excellent view point from where you can enjoy the panoramic views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, Manaslu Himal and many other snow capped mountains and peaks. Also we can drive by another bus from Dhading Besi to Jyamrung Danda two hours to Jyamrung Danda. (Overnight at tented camp on full board basis)

Day 03: Trek Jyamrung Danda to Karki Gaon (1225 m) 4-5 hrs 
After descending for nearly two hours you cross a suspension bridge over the Ankhu Khola (Ankhu river). You then trek over flat leveled trails at the bank of Ankhu Khola River until you reach Ringne. This is a small town with a few shops. From here, your trail gradually moves up all the way to Karki Gaon. This is a big village mainly inhabited by Hindus. The main occupation of villagers is agriculture. (Overnight at tented camp on full board basis)

Day 04: Trek Karki Gaon to Ganga Jamuna (3244m) 3-4 hrs 
This day you trek a gradually ascending path all the way to Ganga Jamuna. You pass beautiful forests, ridges, farming terraces and picturesque villages on the way. The main attractions include interactions with ethnic groups such as Gurung, Brahmin, Chhetri and a few others. Ganga Jamuna is a Hindu pilgrimage site where a famous fair is held around the temple three days before the full moon, during the first week of November. This place is perfect for camping. The panoramic views of Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, Manaslu range, Lamjung Himal, Himalchuli, Annapurna range and many other unnamed mountains and peaks completely mesmerize you. (Overnight at tented camp on full board basis)

Day 05: Rest day at Ganga Jamuna (3244m)
This day you can hike to the top of Ganga Jamuna and can enjoy the spectacular views of the Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, Manaslu range, Lamjung Himal, Himalchuli, Annapurna range and many other unnamed mountains and peaks. Along the way you cross dense forests of rhododendron and other natural vegetation. (Overnight at tented camp on full board basis)

Day 06: Ganga Jamuna to Budathum, 3-4 hrs 
Some part of the trail goes downhill and then it moves along a leveled path before descending again towards the ending of your trek. Along your journey, you can enjoy fascinating green hills, beautiful waterfalls, small rhododendron and pine forests, picturesque villages rich in their own traditions and farming terraces. Budathum is a small town with an old local market. This village is predominately inhabited by the Newar community. From here you can enjoy the spectacular views of Manaslu range at a far distance. (Overnight at tented camp on full board basis)

Day 07: Trek Budathum to Arughat Bazaar (500m) and drive to Kathamndu, 7 hrs 
After breakfast trek from Budathum to Arughat Bazaar About two hours and will have lunch at Arughat Bazzar. After lunch you drive back to Kathmandu. To reach Arughat Bazaar you trek a descending path and on the way, you pass a few streams, villages, farming terraces and small forests. Most of the route moves along the river bank of the Budhi Gandaki. Aarughat Bazzar covers a small area with an old market. Here, the routes to Manaslu trekking convene. While driving, you head up to Dhading Besi and Malekhu and Malekhu, which is famous for delicious fish. En route, you can enjoy the mountain views, green scenarios, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to the Kathmandu. (Overnight at deluxe hotel on BB basis)

Day 08: Farewell Friend (Final departure to your onward destination) 
Today is last day in Nepal for this trip; you are saying good bye to the mountains as journey in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with travel companions and organize the photos. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from Mountain Guide Treks will take you to the airport.

Cost Exclude

  • Nepal entree visa: you can get a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (a multiple-entry tourist visa good for 30 days can be obtained by Paying US $ 40 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, multiple-entry tourist visas for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100. Please bring 2 copies of passport-size photos.)
  • International airfare
  • Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu (and also in the case of early return from the mountain than the scheduled itinerary)
  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain(due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
