Chulu East Peak climbing is most popular trekking peak in Annapurna trekking region which is first climbed in 1955 by a German explorer's expedition via the north-east ridge. The peak of Chulu East, together with Chulu West, forms an integral part of the Manang Himal, which in turn is included in the Larger Damodar Himal range. Chulu East peak (6,429m) is situated high above the Manang valley with breathtaking views across to the Annapurna II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and Manaslu. Chulu east is combined with the classic trek around the Annapurna ascending the Marshyangdi valley and crossing the Thorong La. The climb is technically, you should be familiar with the use of your climbing equipment; crampons, harness, ice axe, tying knots and handling climbing ropes. You should be very fit and have good experience of climbing.
This trip and climb is difficult to match for its spectacular mountain scenery, trekking and mountaineering challenges and the expose it provides on the variety of ethnic Nepalese cultures. Close up views of the Annapurna range (40 miles between the two river valleys contain at twelve 7,000 m peaks and many more above the 6,000m) and varied ecosystems, diverse cultures and an ever changing landscape lush, green paddy fields and oak forests, arid deserts, the deepest gorge and some of the most fascinating mountains make this one of the most popular areas in the world for trekkers and mountaineers. The trekking to this peak climbing begins from Besishahar, Bulbule, whereby you will reach by some 8-hour drive from Kathmandu, then head up to Chamche, Pisang and reach to Yak Kharka and then continue to base camp and finally reach to Chulu East, you will set up the tents and acclimatize. Once we are ready, you precede a head and make summit and then you will return back from Manang valley and continue to Yak Kharka, Thorong La pass, Muktinath, Jomsom and finally reach at Pokhara.
