Altitude sickness (also known as acute mountain sickness) is an unfavorable health condition that strikes our body when we are at a high altitude (above 2500m (about 1.55 mi)). If any symptoms are seen during the trek, firstly we will have a primary treatment to cure the sickness. First, we will walk down to a minimum of 150m (about 492.13 ft) from the location where the symptoms are seen, and walk down again if the symptoms are not improved. If the victim is unable to walk down on his/her own, we can hire a horse, or we can request our porter to carry the person. Warm water and ginger juice are also served to cure sickness. If these treatments are unable to cure the patient, rescue can be done by helicopter.
