Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek is a "Sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley" situated in the northern Gorkha district of Nepal. Tsum Valley has a population of about 4000 people of the indigenous ethnic group known as “Tsumbas” Tsum comes from the Tibetan word "Tsombas" which means vivid. The trail heads up the valley of the Budi Gandaki River through a wild and unexplored country inhabited by members of the Gurung ethnic groups. A good cup of locally cultivated natural coffee and Tatopani hot springs will help you to relax on this intensive trial.
Upper Tsum valley (part of the Inner Himalaya) opens from Chhokangparo, where hospitable local people (Tibetan group "Tsombas") welcome you with traditional Tibetan Chiya (butter tea) and local meal. The Manaslu and Tsum Valley Trek are extremely rich in cultural assets. The valley is dotted with Gompas (Buddhist monasteries), Chortens, and Mani walls.
The longest Mani walls (over 250m (about 820.21 ft)) are at Dzong and Purple. The valley preserves the steps of the great Buddhist Yogi Chiuchin Milarepa and the story about Guru Padmasambhava Circumbulation. The people here never slaughter animals, even as a sacrifice to the gods. The Tsum Valley is surrounded by the Buddha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south, and Sringi Himal to the North.
We can change the days for trekkers heading to Tsum Valley on their preferences and worries. The Manaslu Circuit Trek and the Manaslu Larkya Pass Trek might be acceptable alternatives for your holiday if you have unlimited or limited time.
