Nagarkot is one of the most famous spots in the world for viewing the sunrise and various mountain ranges. Nagarkot is located at Nagarkot VDC of Bhaktapur district at a distance of 32 km east of the heart of Kathmandu. Nagarkot is at an elevation of 2195m and an altitude of 2050m from sea level. From Nagarkot, one can view the snow-capped mountains including Mount Everest and many other mountains and peaks. Annapurna range, Jugal range, Langtang range, Mahalangur range, Manaslu range, and many other peaks can be seen through Nagarkot on a clear day. Besides mountains visitors got the opportunity to view the rolling hills, deep valleys, and lush pine forests from Nagarkot.
Outline Itinerary:
6:00 A.M: Get up
7:00 A.M: Take Breakfast in the hotel.
8:00 A.M: Drive to Nagarkot in a car.
10:00 A.M: Nagarkot hiking from the bus park to the viewpoint.
1:00 P.M: Take Nepali Lunch in the hotel
2:00 P.M: Nagarkot sightseeing
3:30 P.M: Drive back to Kathmandu
5:00 P.M: Farewell friends.
After breakfast, Guides pick you up from the hotel at around 8 AM and you will be taken to Nagarkot in a car. Nagarkot is at a distance of an hour and a half driving from Kathmandu. On the way, you pass Kathmandu city and Bhaktapur where you can view the typical lifestyle of Nepalese people, deep valleys, terraced fields, and the beautiful greenery of forests. After you reached Nagarkot we have a short hike to the viewpoint of Nagarkot where we got the opportunity of viewing the various snow-capped mountains. After that, we will take typical Nepali lunch at the hotel. After lunch, we will observe the lifestyle of the local people. At around 3:30 PM we move back to Kathmandu saying Goodbye Nagarkot to Nagarkot.
