Langtang Valley Trekking

Langtang valley trek, a part of Langtang National Park, is especially famous for flora and fauna. Langtang trek is also called "the valley of glaciers trek". The river valley offers healthy forests, some endangered wildlife, a bird-eye view of high mountains including Langtang Lirung (7245m), and the live culture of the people.

The Langtang Valley has long been a popular trek because it can be reached quite easily from Kathmandu, within a day's drive then start at Syabrubesi and follow up the Langtang river some parts of the Langtang valley trek are quite tougher with the difficult slopes and rocky path. At such points, you must walk slowly and carefully. The rest of the trekking trails are quite easy with the enticing nature views on your side. The park is also well known for its populations of the red panda, Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, wild dog, ghoral, serow, and more than 250 species of birds.

Langtang is the closest place where you could get the massive snow-capped mountains and beautiful glaciers. This valley is located only 19 miles north of Kathmandu. The whole valley is dominated by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246m) and offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock, snow-capped peaks, grassy downs, and meadows. The last destination of this trekking is Kyanjin Gompa. You visit ancient Buddhist monasteries and glaciers. Here you stay one more day on next day you get an opportunity to ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m). From its top, you will get 360-degree mountain views. From Kyangjin, you retrace your route back down the valley to Syabru Besi and then drive back to Kathmandu.

For Travellers to Langtang Valley Trek, we can modify the days according to the option and concerns of the travelers. If you have unlimited or limited time, then the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, the Langtang Ganjala Pass Trek, or the Langtang Helambu Circuit would be a suitable alternative for your vacation.
