Langtang valley trek, a part of Langtang National Park, is especially famous for flora and fauna. Langtang trek is also called "the valley of glaciers trek". The river valley offers healthy forests, some endangered wildlife, bird-eyes view of high mountains including Langtang Lirung (7245m) and the live culture of the people.
Langtang is the closet place where you could get the massive snow-capped mountains and beautiful glaciers. This valley is located only 19 miles north of Kathmandu. The whole valley is dominated by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246m) and offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy down and meadows. The starting point of Langtang trek is Syabru Bensi. From Syabru Bensi you will follow the Langtang River to the east until you get to Kyangin Gompa (3,049) with an overnight stay at Lama Hotel,Langtang valley respectively. On the fourth day, you will arrive at Langtang valley. In this valley, besides natural wonders, you also visit a local Tibetan village and see their lifestyle. The last destination of this trekking is Kyanjin Gompa. You visit ancient Buddhist monastery and glaciers. Here you stay one more day on next day you get an opportunity to ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m). From its top, you will get 360-degree mountain views. From Kyangjin, you retrace your route back down the valley to Syabru Besi and then drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1420m) via Trisuli Bazaar (540m) by bus 7-8 hrs.
Day 03: Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2470m) 5-6 hrs.
Day 04: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m) 5-6 hrs.
Day 05: Langtang Village to Kyanjing Gompa (3870m) 5-6 hrs.
Day 07: Trek back Kyanjin Gomba to Lama Hotel (2470m) 5-6 hrs
Day 08: Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi (1420m)
Day 09: Drive Shyabru Besi to Kathmandu 7-8 hrs
Day 10: Farewell Friend (Final departure to your onward destination)
Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1300m)
Namaste & welcome to Mountain Guide Trek of Nepal. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by a representative from Mountain guide Treks (MGT). After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with a Mountain Guide Treks and Expedition with Group leader's name display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, if time allows, you will visit MGT office to meet your trekking leader as well as other participants and for final preparation for the trip. It all depends upon your arrival time. (Overnight deluxe hotel on BB basis)
Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1420m) via Trisuli Bazaar (540m) by bus 7-8 hrs.
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi which takes about nine hours by bus or Land cruiser depending on group size. You head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridge line vistas to Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche. While passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. As you pass through Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land. At the same time, you notice that the road is still under construction. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)
Day 03: Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2470m) 5-6 hrs.
The first part of the trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. This trail is gradually climbs to Bamboo passing through the Landslide area. Afterwards, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400meters) through Bamboo (1960meters) which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. You can have lunch at this place if you like. And at the end your trail is level to the Lama Hotel. En route you could see red pandas, monkeys and bears if you're lucky. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)
Day 04: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m) 5-6 hrs.
The trek route follows Gumanechok, Ghoda Tabela literally it means the Horse Stable. After this the trail is slightly gradual and beautiful in the valley with the grazing Yaks. Langtang village is one of the very local and old villages along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain. Day 05: Langtang Village to Kyanjing Gompa (3870m) 5-6 hrs
Today is a shorter walk but enough for acclimatization. The surroundings are interesting also because of the famous Cheese factory. The beautiful valley in the lap of the Langtang Lirung and other around, a place to explore the valley and lots of small peaks to climb (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)
Day 06: Trek back Kyanjin Gomba to Lama Hotel (2470m) 5-6 hrs
From Kyangjin you retrace your route, following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela. After lunch you continue the steep descent to Lama Hotel. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)
Day 07: Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi (1420m)
The upper part of the trail is more beautiful for the panoramic view of mountains and green hill views. This path is broader and remains sunny through the different Shepra and Tamang villages. The first half part of the trail is gradually down and then the trail does steeply descent to the Syabru Besi (1600m). There was run a project called Chilime Power Plant the main inhabitants belong to Tamang community and they have adopted Tibetan lifestyle. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)
Day 08: Drive Shyabru Besi to Kathmandu 7-8 hrs
In the morning drive back to Kathmandu by Local bus or private vehicle. The drive takes 7 to 8 hrs to reach Kathmandu. Remember, we will be hosting a fantastic celebration "Farewell dinner" at traditional Nepalese restaurant with Mountain Guide Trek staffs for successful completion of the Langtang Valley Trek! Day 09: Farewell Friend (Final departure to your onward destination)
Today is last day in Nepal for this trip, you are saying good bye to the mountains as journey in Nepal, comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with travel companions and organize the photos. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from Mountain Guide Treks will take you to the airport.
