Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek is one of the strenuous wilderness treks of Nepal. This trek starts from Dolakha and ends to Lukla. It provides an experience with the remoteness of this region, romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich local cultures. This trek requires a good walking experience and an excellent physical form. The Sherpas named this deep valley "Rolwaling" which means "the grave" due to its location deep down between the steep ice-giants of the Khumbu region. With this trek, we will have lovely views of Mt. Gaurishanker, Rolwaling Himal, Chobabhamre, Dorje Lakpa, Yalung Ri and Pachharmo peak. There is technical route in Tashi Lapcha Pass. One should have a mountain climbing permit for this route.

Rolwaling trek you will get an opportunity to be in Rolwaling as well as Khumbu region. These are two famous mountain regions of eastern Nepal. Rolwaling trekking offers Romantic Mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich local cultures. One feature of Rolwaling trekking is it requires a good walking experience and an excellent physical form because here trekkers have to cross adventurous 5755m mountain pass called Tashi Lapcha. The cross of this high pass provides truly wilderness off the beaten path travel experience. In the past, this trekking was only allowed for members of the expedition group. Now it is opened to all people. Another attraction of Rolwaling trek is enchanting Rolwaling valley. The small Sherpa villages of Bedding and Na in this valley provide the experience of unique and traditional Sherpa culture. Trekkers discover dense forests and lots of waterfalls when walking through this valley. While proceeding to Tashi Lapcha pass trekkers see the magnificent view of Mt Gauri Shanker (7146m), People believe highly celebrated and mysterious animal yeti has made his home around Mt Gaurishanker. But entire research expeditions have so far unsuccessfully attempted to find him. After passing Tashi Lepcha, you will arrive at Khumbu region and do trekking a few days. Your trek will be end at Lukla and the next day morning flight to Kathmandu.

Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trekking / 21 Days - Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1300m)
Namaste & welcome to Mountain Guide Trek of Nepal. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by a representative from Mountain guide Treks (MGT). After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with a Mountain Guide Treks and Expedition with Group leader's name display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, if time allows, you will visit MGT office to meet your trekking leader as well as other participants and for final preparation for the trip. It all depends upon your arrival time. (Overnight at deluxe hotel on BB basis)

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
The day after breakfast we will start sightseeing tour with our professional tour guide to the several of most historical and spiritual Place in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered the World Heritage historic Sites such as Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. After come back from the tour there will be a pre-trip discussion with our trek leader and other team members. Mountain Guide Trek will brief you regarding your trek as well as we may have an opportunity to discuss any difficulties regarding our upcoming adventure. Rest of the time you could use for travelling around the Thamel and shopping of needed equipments and other necessaries. (Overnight at deluxe hotel on BB basis)

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Dolakha (1660m) 7-8 hrs
Drive Kathmandu to Dolakha through Lamosangu and Charikot. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 04: Trek Dolakha to Shigati (950m) 6-7 hrs
We start trek today's from Dolakha and towards Shigati via Piguti. It takes about four hours. The trail goes through across different villages. You need to cross many streams and jungles in this trail. You come to see many orchids, rhododendrons and other vegetation. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 05: Trek Shigati to Jagat (1440m) 6-7 hrs
Then head towards Jagat and it takes about seven hours from Sigati. You go down to the river side and flat land. On the way, you come to notice many small villages inhabited by the mixed community. On the trail, we have to cross the jungles several times. We also have to cross the suspension bridge to reach Jagat. It is small town and people from the different cultural background live here. Day 06: Trek Jagat to Simigaon (2020m) 5-6 hrs
We go to Simigaon from Jagat. It takes almost seven and half hours. As we proceed forward, we follow the flat path and it ascends and descends through the thick jungle. You cross the suspension bridges several times. You also come across many villages on the trail. Small tea shops and local shops are available on the trail. Then we ascend up to Simigaon and this small village is inhabited by the Buddhist and Hindus. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 07: Trek Simigaon to Daldung La (3976m) 6-7 hrs
It takes approximately six hours to reach Daldung La from Simigaon. You come across beautiful Sherpa village in the trail. This trail is rich in different species of flora and fauna. After this uphill trek, you follow ascending and descending path. At the same time, you enjoy the splendid view of the surrounding. You witness the Yak Naka, a temporary Yak shed, if it happens in the season. Basically, cheese and butter is produced here. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 08: Trek Daldung La to Beding (3690m) 6-7 hrs
Daldung La trek towards to Beding slowly goes up through the different species of plants and rhododendron trees. We trek over the suspension bridge over the deep gorge. It makes the trek more delightful. Finally we arrive at a big Sherpa village, Beding. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 09: Trek Beding to Na (4180m) 4-5 hrs
Trek towards Na and its four hours trek. You can explore the upper slopes of the valley for snow today. You can also visit the nearby glacier too. The trek goes up along the river bank. This place is very open and it offers fresh air and charming sound the river. As the trek proceeds forward, you come across the panoramic view of the mountains. In addition, we also come across the Sherpa village and explore their specialties. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 10: Rest Day at Na for acclimatization
Today is the rest day for acclimatization. Then the trek further goes towards Ramdung Go. You spectator the mountains such as Gauri Shanker, Menlung, Yalung and the mountains of the Tibet on the trail, at the end you arrive at Yalung glacier camp today. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 11: Trek Na to Tso Rolpa Lake (4540m) 5-6 hrs
From Na, the trek further goes to Rolpa Lake. The trail goes through the flat path and gradually climbs up. You come across many natural lakes filled the scary water of glacier on the trail. The beautiful view of Menlung and Tibetan Side Mountain adds more glory in the trek. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 12: Trek Tso Rolpa to Trakarding Glacier (4800m) 5-6 hrs
We wake up early in the morning and start our trek towards Trakarding glacier. We walk past the glaciers throughout the day and explore the beauty of the surrounding. This also enriches your trek. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 13: Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Phedi (5010m) 5-6 hrs
From Trakarding glacier, we further trek towards Tashi Lapcha Pedi camp. It is situated in the altitude of 5755m. The trail involves some rock climbing and then we walk gradually on the glaciers. We set up our camp at Tashi Lapcha Pedi camp. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 14: Tashi Lapcha Pedi to Tashi Lapcha high camp (5500m) via Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m) 6-7 hrs
You will climb up the Tashi Lapcha Pedi and to Tashi Lapcha high camp through the Tashi Lapcha Pass. The trial will completely be over the snow straight up and then steep down towards high camp. Trek from Tashi Lapcha Pedi to Tashi Lapcha pass is very exciting. (Overnight at Tented Camp on full board basis)

Day 15: Trek back to Thyomgbo (4350m) 5-6 hrs
Trekking from Tashi Lapcha high camp to Thyombo takes about 5 to 6 hrs through Ngole. You experience the easy glacier walking. The trail goes down towards the Thyomgbo. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)

Day 16: Trek back Thyomgbo to Thame (3820m) 6-7 hrs
We wake up at dawn this morning. Then we start trekking to Thame. The trail ascends up and follows the easy trek afterwards. You enjoy the beauty of the surrounding environment. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)

Day 17: Trek back Thame to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 4-5 hrs
As we go further Thame to Namche Bazaar, the trail ascends for an hour up to Sanasa which is in the altitude of 3550m. In this point, you get your first glimpse of the peaks of the Khumbu region such as Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru. After passing several villages and numerous tea shops, the trail further descends steep towards the bridge over the Dudhkoshi River at Phunki Tenga. You feel very exhausted due to the rough path; the trek still offers numerous other attractions such as the chirping sound of the birds and scenery mountain views. This makes your trek more exciting. You come to notice several villages and tea shops in the trail. The trail ascends up and you arrive at Sanasa where you find local people selling Tibetan goods. The way further goes to Namche bazaar and this path involves lots of ups and downs. While walking in the trail, the thick forest, scenery and mountain views arrest your attention right away. Day 18: Trek Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800m) 6-7 hrs.
After a long walk today well have long and last day trek back to Lukla, Firstly we descend the long way before cross the bridge and further walk to Monju and ten Phakding for lunch. We trek back with enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village. After long walk 7-8 hrs we arrival in Lukla and you'll have time to stroll around the areas and guide will re-confirm your flight ticket and enjoy the last celebrate dinner with your crew member for memorable trip. Day 19: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu - 30 min.
If the weather is good, early in the morning you fly back to Kathmandu after your long mountain journey. After 30 min you will be arrive at domestic airport at Kathmandu. We will send private Car/van/bus to pick up you to the hotel than you can rest and relax throughout the day in the hotel if you don't have any necessities things to do. Day 20: Leisure day in Kathmandu
Today is your leisure day, if interested you could buy some gifts from Nepal for your friends and relatives, you will visit some nearby shops or venture at Thamel for typical Nepalese goods which can be assisted by our guides or you can do it yourself too. If enthralled to explore some other areas of Kathmandu you could take some more time to do that today! Remember, we will be hosting a fantastic celebration "Farewell dinner" at traditional Nepalese restaurant with Mountain Guide Trek staffs for successful completion of the Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek! Day 21: Farewell Friend (Final departure to your onward destination)
Today is last day in Nepal for this trip; you are saying good bye to the mountains as journey in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with travel companions and organize the photos. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from Mountain Guide Treks will take you to the airport.

(Useful Info: - Please note that often the Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight gets delayed by a few hours or may even be canceled for one, two, or more days due to bad weather conditions. Such conditions may happen even in the best seasons. Therefore, in such cases, you must be prepared for long waits both at Kathmandu or Lukla airports, as this can happen either at the start or end of the trek or even both! We do our extreme to avoid such delays, and fix you on next flight. Still, we suggest you to be prepared for possible delays/cancellation, and if possible to come with some extra buffer days (1-2 days) at the end of the trip to accommodate such delays. We also organize Heli rescue in such conditions, if it's available and upon request by our clients. In case, the flight delay/cancellation happens at the start of trip and it goes so long that it disturbs your onward travel schedule, you are free to choose an alternative trip: such a trek in the Annapurna, Langtang, or any other regions. If you are not interested in the alternative trip and would rather wait for the trip, you are welcome to wait in Kathmandu for as many days as it takes to get a flight to Lukla)

Similarly, multiple-entry tourist visas for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100. Please bring 2 copies of passport-size photos.)
